(Hospital 01) Moving up in the World

I recently realized that the website Hulu has started to host Downtown "Gaki no Tsukai" series with subtitles. I see that they have only posted their older stuff though. I'm sure people are wanting to see more recent ones notably the "Batsu Game" series.
Anyhow, I think it's great that the one of the big sites like Hulu realized the demand for the Japanese shows.

Subsequently, I came accross a subtitling tool which gave me more flexibilities in controling fonts and others. Here's my first attempt with it, perhaps going too nuts with the colors, but I'm learning.

This particular Downtown series seems to be in the most demand. Let me know what you think of the subs.

  1. As nice as Hulu is, there are a lot of people OUTSIDE the U.S. who like the Gaki No Tsukai series... unfortunately Hulu won't allow their videos to be viewed internationally...

Please for the sake of us who live somewhere else, don't just upload your vids there, veoh is working just fine...

Great work by the way :)

I am a foreigner living in Japan and can not watch Hulu. As the other person said, Veoh is great.

  7. there is still a way to get subs.

if you can download the subs from Hulu, I can put it on the full video (for the gym batsu).

I have no access to Hulu and tried VPN but it was still to slow.

  10. I recommend that you just make an SRT sub file for the dvd version that is readily available on torrents.
That way we don't have to worry about hosting because everybody can get torrents easily (generally).

Also, thanks so much for the subs, this is real niche market that we've got here.

  11. Thanks for everyone's comments.
As for releasing srt files, I am a little bit reluctant to do so since srt file is strictly text based and cannot change its font style, size, and its colors. And I find it very difficult to follow srt subbed videos when there's no distinction between the dialogues and captions on many of Downtown TV shows. But we shall see.

  16. do you know the name of the song in the intro?

  17. I want to kiss you on the lips, Shibata. Mwah mwah mwah.

  18. Hey Shibata, I was wondering if you could help me. I watched the intro over and over again trying to find out what the name of the song is playing in the background. I've tried Tunatic, googling the lyrics, even asking around a lot of places. I even tried to see if I can email Downtown or any affiliate, but sadly I don't know Japanese.

What I'm asking is could you aid me by finding out the name of the song? I would be very much appreciative.

    Again, thanks.
