If you would like I will upload the HQ35 clips I downloaded off youtube to my server and dump them wherever you'd like so it's easier and alot quicker to re-up them when the time comes.

You should make a NING website, so you can post up all the videos on there, and they won't take them down.
It's pretty nice. because not only can you post videos, but they have a section for photos, blogs and forums (not that you'll need them). That's just an idea. That way everything won't get shut down all the time. :]

I hope my post will make some sense to fellow fans of Shibatabread's fantastic work.
I'll set the very foundation first: If not for the hardwork of people like Shibatabread and other "illegal" uploaders of GNT videos, i would never have even known about GNT and their entire awesome series.
Assumption 1: The company with the rights to GNT are petty idiots who hate "freeloaders"
Well by doing so they have effectively maimed their greatest EVER marketing strategy (that they should take no credit for!). If not for these uploads, GNT would have stayed obscure only in their local jap audience.
What good would hunting down these free videos do for their company?? Perhaps to protect the interest of the paying audience in japan. "Why should people on the net get to watch for free what i have to pay for?". A valid reason, but financially not sound. The amount of manpower and time they spend to hunt down a world of uploaders will not justify their protected returns in the comparatively smaller local market.
Assumption 2: The company with rights to GNT are FULLY AWARE of the huge explosion in awareness all over the world, ironically thanks to these uploaders. Now that we are crazy fans of GNT, they now cut off all free content, and suddenly their potential number of paying customers have exploded exponentially.
2 possible scenarios can happen. The first, orders for their DVD's around the world increase since we now have to purchase it. But this scenario has one major problem: THE DVD'S ARE NOT ENGLISH SUBBED! I'd guess 50% of the funnies in GNT are from their conversations and not just their actions. Again this is the fundamental reason why GNT popularity (and for that matter, all of the anime industry!) has exploded around the globe; IT'S THE SUBS!!
The second scenario: a severe fan backlash (not uncommon in recent years) that spurs retaliatory action against the company, ranging from massive flood of uploads to thwart the company's efforts, to cyberspace defamation and publicity sabotage of the company's image. We have already seen some nasty comments posted on this blog since Shibatabread's account has been suspended.
Of course, all of these are anti-productive. Thus i hope that an alternative can be found.
If monetary support is required for a revival of the uploading, I am personally willing to donate a token of my appreciation and support for Shibata's hardwork in his translation efforts for the GNT series. It would only be a small amount in return for all the priceless laughs you've brought me through your translation work. I do hope others would step up in support as well!

I like the ning website network idea. That way you don't have to deal with youtube at all. maybe you could post previews on youtube with a link to the actual website?
maybe if you(shibatabread) would offer GNT management the subbing for global distribution since you do a fantastic job. then you make some money for your effort and you can sell the dvds(with subs) here on your website. i wish there were torrents to download w/ subs. hmmmm.

I like the idea of some random phrase that GNT fans would know of. e.g. KonyaGaYamada (as previously mentioned somewhere) to something like MatsukoDeluxe, or even go towards something like ShowheiHEY.

It's probably Za-jin (the people) outto but it's not so japanese to pronounce za as tse, so i remain conspicuous off about "the jin" and "tsu-e jin".
The kanji is too blurred at some YT conversions - lo-fi as we come to know - but we may give it a try.
