Another photo is of Eisaku Ohkawa. He's a famous Enka singer in Japan. Enka is a popular Japanese music genre started more than 150 years ago. Allow me to recite a paragraph from Wiki:The term "enka" was first used to refer to political texts set to music which were sung and distributed by opposition activists belonging to the Freedom and People's Rights Movement during the Meiji period (1868–1912) as a means of bypassing government curbs on speeches of political dissent – and in this sense the word is derived from "enzetsu no uta" (演説の歌?), meaning "speech song".
Personally, Enka will always going to remind me of older people since Enka is mostly appreciated by older generations.
But of course, the time has changed. I understand there's been a waves of younger Enka singers these days.
And more surprisingly, there's a first American-born Enka singer in Japan named Jero. You can listen to some of his Enka songs here:http://www.jvcmusic.co.jp/-/Artist/A021548.html
